AGE OF THE VINEYARD: from 15 to 35 years
CHARACTERISTICS OF THE SOIL: Pliocene loam (yellow lime sand, alternating with Pliocene clay)
EXPOSURE: South-East
ALTITUDE: from 250 to 300 meters
DATE OF HARVEST: around the middle of October
AGEING: in 225 litre barriques for 12 months then aged in bottles for 6 months minimum
GRAPES VARIETIES: Sangiovese 100%

ORGANOLEPTIC CHARACTERISICS:
COLOR: deep ruby red
NOSE: highly complex with spicy notes and a whiff of wild berries and red berries
PALATE: excellent full structure, soft and elegant
AGES WELL FOR: 10 years
SERVING SUGGESTIONS: sienese ham (cinta), stewed wild boar and hare, grilled meat, aged cheeses.
